Dr. John Hill Coppedge, Jr. – Optometrist

Dr. John Hill Coppedge, Jr., was born in Geneva, New York. He moved to Brooksville in 1955 and was a 1964 graduate of Hernando High School. He attended St. Leo College, and is a 1969 graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Coppedge has been active in community organizations, such as Kiwanis Club of Brooksville, President of The Guidance Center of Hernando County (The Harbor), member of Faith Presbyterian Church and others. He and his wife, Sharon, have three children. They have twin sons, John Casey and Craig Hill, and daughter, Kalyn. All three children are in their careers and have continued to bless the family with their marriage partners, Amanda, Allison, and Adam. They are blessed with their grandchildren: Jackson, Abby, Hallie, Carina, Keillor, Charlotte, Ryan, and Merriam.  Dr. John Hill Coppedge, Jr. retired April, 2015.


Dr. John Casey Coppedge – Optometrist

Dr. John Casey Coppedge is also a graduate of Hernando High School, graduating in 1992. He graduated from Florida State University,continued on to the University of Southern California earning his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He then graduated from Nova Southeastern School of Optometry in 2007. After graduation, he joined his father in the practice of optometry in Brooksville.On the first day of school he met another new student, Amanda. Thanks to that meeting they would eventually become husband and wife. After moving to back to Brooksville, he joined his father in optometric practice, continuing the legacy that began with his grandfather so many years before.  Dr. Coppedge and his wife have two children, Carina and Ryan.


Dr. Amanda Coppedge – Optometrist

Dr. Amanda Coppedge graduated from UCLA with a major in neuroscience and then earned her optometry degree at Nova Southeastern School of Optometry. She has been associated with an ophthalmology practice in Lecanto since 2008, where she works with a cataract surgeon, corneal specialist, and a glaucoma specialist. She has extensive experience co-managing patients with corneal diseases, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and post-operative procedures.


Dr. James Revennaugh – Optometrist

Dr. James Revennaugh was raised in Brooksville and graduated from Hernando High School in 2000. He attended the University of South Florida, and while there worked in an optometric practice. Dr. Revennaugh attended Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Vision Science degree in 2009. He was a member of the National Honor Society Beta Sigma Kappa. He has the distinction of being recognized for obtaining the highest score among NSU students on Part One of his National Board Examination. His optometric training included an externship at the Malcolm Randal VA Hospital, which provided extensive training in a large array of ocular disease conditions.


Jo Ann Searcy – Office Administrator

Jo Ann Searcy was born in Gainesville, Florida, but is really considered a Brooksville native. She is a 1974 graduate of Hernando High School. She received her AA degree from Pasco-Hernando Community College, before transferring to the University of Florida to earn her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing. She joined the optometric office of Drs. Coppedge and Wooster in 1983 as an optometric assistant. She became a certified optometric assistant in 1987. In January, 2010, she continued her career at Coppedge Eyecare as the Office Manager. Jo Ann has over thirty years of optometric experience.


Kim Trout Bechtelheimer – Optical Manager

Kim Trout Bechtelheimer was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and moved to Brooksville in 1973. She graduated from Hernando High School in 1977. In 1978, she joined the staff of father and son, Dr. John H. Coppedge and Dr. John H. Coppedge, Jr. as a receptionist. She eventually worked in the optical side and learned all aspects of optical care. In 1987, she became a licensed optician. She brings with her to Coppedge Eyecare over 37 years of optical experience. She is a member of First United Methodist Church of Brooksville. She is married to Cedric Bechtelheimer. They have two daughters, Sara and Pam, son-in-law, Chris, and they have two granddaughters, Makayla and Payton.


Luke Dumala – Optician

Luke Dumala has been an employee since 2005 in the optical area. His favorite hobby is his music and he plays drums for the Spring Lake United Methodist Church Worship Team. Luke is well-known for his random acts of kindness for the homeless in our area.


Tanya Peters – Optometric Assistant

Tanya Peters was born in Lakeland, FL, but grew up in Brooksville. She graduated from Hernando High School in 1992. After marrying Brad Peters in May of 1999, they traveled the Southeast with the U.S. Army. In 2011, they returned with their son, Dalton, so he could grow up in Brooksville. She joined our office in December, 2013.


Danyelle Roller – Receptionist

Danyelle Roller became a member of our team in August of 2014, working as our receptionist. She is a lifelong resident of Brooksville and a proud graduate of Hernando High School.


Christian Kegley – Optical Lab Technician

Christian Kegley started in our office as an Optical Lab Technician in September of 2014. He enjoys building and customizing computers, along with spending time with his family and caring for his various animals.


Alisa Duthie – Optometric Assistant

Alisa Duthie recently joined Coppedge Eyecare and is excited to learn all aspects of her new job. She believes raising and homeschooling her three children has been the greatest job she’s ever held, but she is now ready to embrace this next chapter of her life as an Optometric Assistant. She has lived in several different countries, traveled around the world, yet happily calls Brooksville “home”. She is a member at Faith Evangelical Church. She has a curiosity and drive to learn about the world around her and loves meeting new people. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her favorite person in all the world, her husband, David.
